Today marks the first day back to running after 4 weeks off! YES!!!! It was a slow steady 3.5 miles after a pretty lengthy warm up of walking a mile and then some dynamic stretching. The 3.5 miles went smoothly without a pain in my foot. Funny how, throughout the whole run, I can't thinking in my head, "does my foot have any pain, is there an ache, do I feel anything?" It was like a mental challenge not to focus on my foot! LOL! But, man, I sure loved that I was able to run! Even if it was a slow, cautious run on a very dusty treadmill!
The weekend has flown by! Yesterday morning I attended a spin class. The usual instructor was on vacation, so we had another instructor in her place. Well, the instructor was up front and explained that she was picking up extra classes that weekend and that the usual hour class would be about 30 minutes, but that she guaranteed a great work out. I was okay with this because I just figured I could do something else afterwards at the gym. Well, the above photo describes yesterday's class! Except that she didn't know what 30 minutes was because she took us spinning for an entire hour!!!!!! Which was great, but DON'T get me in the mental mind set of 30 minutes and then kill me for an hour!!!! LOL! Just kidding! It was great! Although she did these fast moves that almost looked like you were doing a push up on the bike. Can't really explain it, but it does make you feel like you might face plant the bar! I think I might have been able to do every 3rd one... LOL!
I didn't post to this blog yesterday, and honestly, besides spinning class, I can't even recall exactly what all happened on Saturday that I didn't have the time too! LOL! Literally, around 11pm I though about it, but then I just went to sleep and planned on blogging today. But, I did clean a little.... and by clean, I mean the necessity cleaning..... washing clothes, dishes, etc. The dang cleaning fairy just doesn't seem to make it to my house! Errrrr!
This bullfrog was on our deck step last night! Man, these things can jump and FAST!!!! He was not happy about me trying to get a picture of him! This was the best I could get because he was too fast!!!
And, poor Alberta! Age is getting the best of her! In the last few weeks, she has been having more difficulty with getting up and moving around due to arthritis. In the last few days, it is so bad that my husband and I have to pick her up to get her moving around. Arthritis medication from the Vet not working like it has in the past. She can not see. We have to keep calling out to her in order for her to follow our voices so that she knows where to go; otherwise, she just simply walks in circles. She is eating very little and most of what she is eating now is what I hand feed her. She is drinking though. She has been the BEST dog! We love her! It is hard and sad to see a beloved family pet age like this! Tomorrow she will go to the Vet for evaluation and recommendations.
Well, going to wrap things up! Again, thanks for all the support of this blog. Have a great rest of the weekend!
Until later......... (again, pardon any typos-really not proof reading after typing)

Ever been so happy to return to running after injury?
Do you know where the cleaning fairy can be located? I promise not to steal her, but to only use her from time to time.....
