WOW!!!! March 5th is FAST approaching!!!!! Yes, in just about a week and a half, I will be taking on 26.2 miles for the first time ever!!!!!!! I am nervously excited!!!! Just recently, the Snickers Albany Marathon released what the Bling will look like!!!!! Those medals look monstrous!!! I am so excited to collect mine!!! And, if all goes well, I will do just that!!!!! I get asked all the time if there will be a Snickers candy bar at the end.....I really don't know, but the better be!!! LOL! :D
Annnndddd, here is a look at the T-shirt and the medal together!!! I think they both look "on point!" (I think I used that correctly, I am not all up to date on all the "cool" lingo). Anyway, on a side note for local people, the guy in the middle is the owner of Wild Side Running! If you haven't visited this AWESOME running store right here in our neck of the woods, you must check it out!!!! The store is located at 1601 Baytree Rd, Valdosta, GA. It is near the mall in the plaza with honey baked ham. Another cool thing about this store is that my friend Lisa works there!!!! Go say "HI" to her!!!
So, let's talk tapering....... for this week, my training is as follows:
Monday- 3 miles (with 1 mile warm up & cool down)
Tuesday- Thursday- 4 miles (with 1 mile warm up and cool down)
Friday- REST DAY!!!!!!
Sat and Sun- 8 miles each day :)
