I just LOVE this running calendar that I received in the mail last week! I can soooooooo related to this one from January 1st!!! Can you?!?!?!!!! I mean, first of all, I have to get to bed early during the week in order to get up early to get my weekday runs in.... well, and sleep is actually a necessary thing for the body to perform well..... Oh, and there is no staying up late on the weekend either.... especially night before long run!!!! So, yeah, party to a runner is running and a nap!!! LOL! :D
Another fun thing about this calendar is that on the back side of each tear of sheet, there is a bit of trivia.... Like in picture above...... seriously, if the average person person walks around the world twice in a life time, then how many times does a person who trains for a marathon go around the world..... because, believe me, I am putting some miles on my feet with my current training plan!!!! :D
Marathon training is still on..... Exactly 2 months away!! Eeeek!!!
Today (Wednesday), was a half day for me to work...... so, I did sleep in this morning and threw my running bag in the car with the plan to run after work!! Oh, with the weather finally cooler, I will take any chance that I am able to run outside!!!
3 miles on schedule with a 1 mile warm up and cool down........ break down of run is as follows:
Mile 1-9:36 (little faster than what I wanted for a warm up)
Mile 2- 9:56
Mile 3- 9:45
Mile 4- 9:35
Mile 5-9:35 (not really a cool down for me..... see I got wrap up in the run and ended up much farther from my where my car was park than what I wanted to be....LOL.... so kept running at my current pace until 5mile mark... turn watch off and then coasted back to car.... probably an additional 0.75 miles..... NOTE TO SELF: MAP OUT RUN PRIOR! LOL)
Not sure if it is all that clear, but I had to wear my old handband/ear warmer today while running..... and even with a short run, I had an indent in my forehead for some time afterwards..... really hoping this new one below (which I have now thrown in my running bag) doesn't do this...... (I know I posted pic the other day, but so you guys can remember what I am talking about)
