Sunday always = long run day!!!! Today, I actually made double digits. Had some positive splits, but ended with a negative split the last mile! I was just happy with reaching double digits... i have been ultra conservative since straining the tendon in my foot a few months back..... been gradually increasing mileage. Anyway, the break down of the run is as follows:
10.02 miles at an average pace of 10:25
Mile 1 10:26
mile 2 10:07
mile 3 9:54
mile 4 10:19
mile5 10:43
mile 6 11:28 (yes, we ran the parking garage again!!!! Incline slows the pace-- then I got a rock in my shoe that I had to remove.... I didn't stop my garmin. I never stop my watch when I stop for something)
mile7 10:28
mile 8 10:22
mile9 10:42
mile 10 9:45 (i think i was in a hurry to get done...lol... not sure where i got the burst of energy to finish with a negative split)
My face is always red when I finish.... being pale allows flushing to be quite visible.... looks like I am dying half the time, but hey, i was able to mustard a smile after 10 miles!
Today, everyone wanted to start 30 min earlier... hence, leaving the house very early! And, of course, I jammed to the 80s on the way into town....
Weather was fabulous!!! Not hot and humid like it usually is....... wish every morning could be like this!!!!
It was a busy week..... my son's social calendar keeps me on the go.... exciting news this week received his bob cat patch in cub scouts!!! I got to paint his face...... HE loves being a cub scout!!!
Well, I am working this weekend...... so I need to eat lunch and get going!!! More soon! Until Later......
