Holy Hill!!!! I was looking at this hill in the middle of mile 6!!! Doesn't look so bad from a distance, but the forever seeming constant steady increase KICKS my booty!!!! Every time!!!!! This hill is often in the local 5Ks that I run, it is the beast that beats my spirit every time!!! LOL!!! No matter how good my run is going, this joker slows me down!!! UGH!!!!
So, as I started out on my run here in South Georgia, it was already 73 degrees!!!! And, by 7am, expected to be 75 degrees!!! It was HOT and Humid!!! Heat and humidity is another factor that slows me down and makes running that much harder for me!!!! Surely, cooler weather is lurking around the corner... right?!?! Again, as I have said before, I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT COOLER WEATHER!!!!!!
So, despite the heat/humidity and the hill, I was able to make it 7.01 miles at an average pace of 10:03. The entire break down of the run is as follows:
Mile 1 10:17 Mile 5 10:12
Mile 2 9:58 Mile 6 10:40 (walked a bit to take pic of hill, didn't stop garmin)
MIle 3 9:37 mile 7 10:01
Mile 4 9:29
Pretty good run in my books over all, I think next week I will try to increase mileage a bit. We will see.
Now, let's talk about mileage!!!! My tahoe will have 400,000 miles in just 10 more miles!!!! Talk about a mile stone!!!! It just keeps on truckin'!!!!!!!!! WoooooHoooooooo!!!!!! Seriously, I have gotten my money's worth out of this vehicle!! Can't complain!
This is the mystery catch from yesterday..... My son brought it in the house to me to show me... My husband wasn't sure if it was a baby Bass fish or something else.... just not sure..... anyway, we release him back into the pond and he just swam away :)
Signing off....... until later!!!! Have a great SUNDAY!!!!! ENJOY!!
How was your day? Long run?
Does the humidity slow you down?
Hills... love them? Hate them? or both? I have a love/hate relationship-- after all, they say hills are speed work in disguise, right?
