It is Sunday!!! I hit the pavement bright and early for two reasons: #1- you have to run early to beat the heat and humidity! #2- this is my weekend to work, so had to run early and then get prepared for work. Although it was early, it was really hot and humid. Was able to get in 6.02 miles. I had planned on 6 today, but next weekend, it will be time to start going a little longer.
With running long and then going to work, I wear these sexy nurse mate compression hose! :) They aren't really the most sexy things, but oh do they make the legs feel good!!! Plus, they are actually good for the legs!!! I actually wear them any time that I am on walk in when I am wearing scrubs or when I wear pants to work..... Can't pull them off when wearing a dress!! LOL!!! Can you imagine the looks I would get?!?! HA! HA!
So, this week was a good week and was broken down like this:
Tuesday-Easy run and then crossfit
Wednesday-speed work (My least favorite thing to do-but oh so necessary! I really am trying to pick up my pace)
Saturday- 3.1 miles easy prior to going to work
Trying to get back to getting serious about focusing on goals... i.e. getting half marathon time under 2 hours and maybe (just maybe run a full marathon in mid 2016 or 2017)
For all those Taylor Swift fans that are runners (surely I am not the only runner who is a Taylor fan), here is a pretty cool shirt......
