Yesterday started off with a spin class.... at 8:15am. The "usual" instructor was not there, so another instructor was filling in..... and, this substitute was fierce!!! My legs are still feeling it today!
So, after spin class I had to run an errand related to the fact that I have accepted the role as race director/race chair for a 5K that will run on Halloween this year, and supports the school that my son attends. The race chair from last year had emailed me stating that he found the second notebook that would help guide me through this adventure........ this is the second notebook, the first notebook looks just like this one! Hard not to get a bit overwhelmed!!! But, hey, it is June... plenty of time until october, right?!?
Rest of Monday was spent hanging out with my 2 favorite fellas.... we literally just did spontaneous things around town like shopping, eating lunch, getting haircuts, and fishing.... day went too fast, but was productive in a way.
Ok cheese factor alert!!! Yes, I can be a goober! BUT, KARA GOUCHER "liked" a comment post of mine.. lol... ok, she might have liked everyone's, but mine was one of them!!!! She responded to me once on twitter too a while back, but that was before I was blogging!! LOL!
OK, this morning (Tuesday).... I was up at 6:30am, jumped on the treadmill! Tried wearing my compression socks while running.... I have been reading other blogs where runners state that they swear by them in helping with their legs and feet while running. So, 3.5 miles and my legs and feet felt pretty good... I know, kinda a short distance to try, but I try nothing "new" on a long run. Well, the socks did feel good.... but, dang, they were hot!!! And, I was inside in ac running..... not sure how wearing compression socks when out in the heat will go..... we will see....
After the 3.5 miles, it was time for some crossfit.... my usual routine of lunges, push ups (girl push ups), squats, sit ups, and then jumping jacks. 10 of each X4 reps. Then I performed some arm exercises and upped the weight to 8 pounds for the first 2 reps of 12, then had to decrease to 5 pounds. Man, my upper body needs some strengthening.
After getting up and ready, we headed to Wild Adventures again! Great thing about having a theme park so close!!!
Always smiles at Wild adventures!!!
Ben found some water spouts... and when you are 6 years old, you don't care that you don't have a swim suit on.... you runt through them anyways!!!! Plus, I always keeps change of clothes in the car for when he gets too messy and has to change.... for today, change of clothes was because he was soak and wet! LOL! :)
Ben had a blast in the water spouts and I was able to sit on a bench in the shade! Win, Win!
Then we caught this show that had this crazy dude who handle things like snakes and alligators!!! Couldn't pay me enough to do his job!!! It was exciting and we learned a lot about the animals in the show.......
Well, time to figure out what is for dinner and to get ready for going back to work... **sigh** fun times go too fast!
Until Later........ Have a GREAT evening!!! Again, thanks for your support of my blog! You guys ROCK!
Do you ever get excited over celebrities "liking" a comment on Facebook or responding to twitter messages/comments? I am self aware that I am a goober about this.....
Ever directed a 5K? Sheesh, who knew it involved so much in organizing?!? Fingers crossed that I can pull this off!!!!........
Do you wear compression socks to run in? Place them on afterwards? Beneficial? Or not so much?
