Meb is a class act for sure!!!! Love this picture that I saw on Facebook!!! I read on twitter that he had thrown up 5 times prior to finishing the race! And, then he goes across the finish line in style holding hands of a fellow Boston runner, Hillary Dionne!!!!! Love Meb's spirit!!!
Love this picture!!! So patriotic !!! I saw this on the Boston Marathon's Facebook page early this morning!!!!
So, I am sure everyone was tuned into the Boston Marathon!!!! I feel that all the American runners made America proud!!!!! I checked into the happenings when I was able, but I will have to go back and watch on DVR! But what about Desiree Linden!!! Lead the pack at mile 12 and went on to come in 4th!!!! Very exciting. Shalane Flanagan did not have the race she had hope for, but wow! She is an amazing runner and an inspiration for sure!!!! Hope to see her next year in Boston!!!!!
If there is one thing about the Boston Marathon, it is that every year it puts this little temptation to sign up for a full marathon!!!!! I can't help it!!! Most likely the temptation will pass, like it did last year....... but man, it is really tugging at me at the moment!!! I am sure that it is mostly mental reasons holding me back......after all, isn't running mostly mental anyway?!?!! Well, we will see..... My husband says that I should just sign up and try..... he always says, "what is the worse thing that could happen? you will need to stop and a golf cart or van will have to pick you up and take you to the finish line? so what! At least you tried!" I know he is right and I appreciate his support, but I do know that I first have to obtain the mind set to do it..... right now, it just isn't there I guess! Oh well!
Well, today was a rest day and a long work day.... so good night folks! until later......... (please forgive any typos or grammar errors-I am just simply tired!) Long day, and I forgot to mention that one the way to dropping Ben off at school, he threw up every where in the back seat of the car.... so emergent detour to my parents to clean car and give Ben a bath.... surprisingly, I made it to work just a few minutes late.....ugh.... but tomorrow is a brand new day!!!! And, Ben at the moment feels much better!!! And thank God for my parents watching Ben.....
Did you watch Boston? Who were you cheering for?
Or..... were you one of the fabulous runners that actually ran today at Boston?!... Do tell, or at least share your blog address so me as well as others can read!!!!
Have you ran a full marathon? When did you know you were ready? Or are you ever ready?
