SO, it is that time of year when we set our clocks an hour forward. And, although I am already stressing myself out about losing a full hour of sleep tonight, it does bring longer days with more daylight in the evenings!!! This means that instead of always having to run on the treadmill to get my runs in, I can actually run outside and enjoy the fresh air. The above picture is part of the trail that I often run. One thing about living in the south, we get to experience the outdoors pretty much all year round. I have seen pictures of northern runners with sweat frozen on their eyebrows. Northern runners truly are BEASTS!!! If I lived up North, I would be sure to run the dreadful treadmill most of the winter. I so love trail running! Usually, I am on the trail for long runs that are a much slower pace. I get too nervous about running too fast (not that I am fast-but referring to what is considered my fast pace) in fear of twisting my ankle or tripping! No time for injury!! Trail running definitely makes you connect with nature in a different way of road running with cars passing you on the street. Although, my shoes do get a little messy (see pic below)
