PASSING TIME ON TREADMILL can be challenging! I can only listen to music for so long on my iPod suffle. So, a lot of the time I watch running videos! When I think about it, it seems a bit odd to be running on treadmill watching people run...LOL. This morning, with just receiving a paid entry to the Savannah Rock n Roll in November for my birthday, I decide to watch youtube videos from the 2014 Savannah Rock n Roll. I love to watch the different recounts of the races from a variety of runners. Also, I checked out one video that went the entire course ( in fast motion of course). I have watch videos on youtube from races I only dream to run. I often to watch and see if I spot someone that I know was running a particular race. Sometimes, I will watch videos from those who inspire me like Kara Goucher, Shalane Flanagan, Hal Higdon, etc.
This morning was great in many ways! Since I did not have to go to work, I was able to get up a bit later. Instead of the rolling out of bed at 3:30-3:45am, I was able to sleep in until 6:30am. It was still dark, so I started my run on the treadmill for 3 miles. No way am I running in the dark! I am scared of what might be lurking in the dark. Then, when the sun came up, I moved to outside to complete the additional 3 miles. It was a slow and steady pace. 6 miles total for this fabulous Monday! And, I was able to get finished before Ben was up moving around. Was able to get pancakes made, and then get Ben up!

Let's talk amateur mistakes that beginner runners make (Me included). So, yes, while running I think a million random things. This morning, I thought back to when I purchase my first long sleeve running shirt. I was so excited to receive my new shirt in the mail! I immediately opened the packaged and tried on the new shirt!!! Only to be upset that it appeared that my shirt had a hole in the sleeve near the wrist! I was like, it is a brand new shirt! High quality! Expensive!!! As I was experiencing emotions of disappointment, with the frustration of thinking that I was going to be mailing the shirt back ONLY to wait a longer period of time for a replacement shirt to arrive, I noticed there was yet another hole in the other sleeve. Thankfully, common sense kicked in and I was able to figure out that the holes were actually thumb holes!!!! HA! HA! This is the stuff that beginner runners won't always find in books or magazines about running. So for all you beginners, thinking of investing in quality running gear, you are welcome that reading this will save you overwhelming disappointment, or better yet, save you from embarrassment of trying to exchange a shirt because it has purposeful holes!!!
We Went to the Agri Supply store to spend the money from the tooth fairy! Ben picked this tractor set. It was a bit more than the tooth fairy money, but for goodness sake, he lost 2 teeth in a week! I think that justifies this tractor set!
We enjoyed the sun shine! Ben rode his bike (which he is a bit of a dare-devil on) and I got in a extra jog:)

Found an Easter Lilly. Love the signs of Spring and Easter!
Coloring Easter eggs! He is a pro!
Proud of the finished product!
How do you pass time when running on the Treadmill AKA Dreadmill? I need new ideas...
What is the most embarrassing thing that you learned when first starting to run? As you know, thumb holes was mine!
What do you do for fun on a Stay-cation? Do tell, I have 3 more days to fill up with activities....
