I got the email "ok" from the coach who designed my training plan to run the 6 miles scheduled for Saturday today instead. See, I have to work this weekend. Saturday I work all day, but on Sunday, I only work 3 hours. Therefore, it made since to run the 6 miles for Saturday today and rest on Saturday. Then, I will run the scheduled 13 miles Sunday since I don't go in until 1pm.
Today, the 6 miles were ran on a trail around my house. Decided to do the trails, instead of driving 40 minutes into town, since I was running solo. The weather was perfect!
Break down of the run:
6.02 miles at an average of 9:10
Mile 1- 9:45
Mile 2- 9:23
Mile 3 - 9:12
Mile 4 - 9:01
Mile 5- 9:00
Mile 6- 8:41
Trail running is fun, but you can count on getting dirty!!! That is for sure!!! I wore my least favorite shoes because I knew I would be getting my shoes dirty. These Nikes are ok, but I only wear them for distances 6 and under..... can not tolerate for a longer run. They are cute, with being pink and all, but still not my "go to shoe" typically.
I walked a mile afterwards...... I was joined by this cute lil guy who had decided to roll out of bed. He literally kept his PJs on, and simply threw on a fleece pull over and put on his boots!! I think this was the best part of my morning!
Well, gotta finish up the laundry (don't be jealous!! LOL)
